
Jo Graduated from the University of Queensland in the year of 1990.
She worked in racing and stud practice at Flemington for three years before moving to Murdoch University in Western Australia as equine registrar treating a caseload of Performance and racing horses. Jo gained Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in equine medicine and joined Scone Equine Hospital in 1996. She has been involved in Endurance riding as a competitor, veterinarian and as an official since 1988.
She has held the roles of Treatment Veterinarian, National Team Veterinarian, President of the Veterinary Commission, Foreign Veterinary Delegate and has attended two Endurance World Championships as the Australian Team Veterinarian, including the Gold Medal winning 2000 team in France. She continues to train and ride Endurance horses. Jo’s work is focussed on lameness and sports medicine. She has a particular interest in the management of performance horses to achieve their potential and maintain their competitive activity.
