2026 marks a significant milestone – the 30 year anniversary of the Muswellbrook Equine Podiatry Centre, first established in the Upper Hunter by Dr. Terry Hicks together with Link (Wayne) Baumann and his wife Chris Baumann. Now known as the Equine Podiatry and Lameness Centre (EPLC), the clinic has remained at the forefront of diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating laminitis and other complex foot-related lameness/injury for over three decades.
We are extremely proud of the strong collaboration between veterinarians and farriers that has developed in the Upper Hunter, driven by the Centre’s commitment to expert care and ongoing education in managing high-risk cases.
To celebrate this legacy, EPLC will be hosting a cornerstone event, taking place on the 13–14 June 2026:
EPLC Vet-Farrier Symposium – 13 & 14 June
- Encompasses a full lecture program and a practical, hands on day with interactive case demonstrations dedicated to laminitis, hoof injury/ reconstruction and rehabilitation.
- Focus always on continuing our tradition of advancing veterinary-farrier collaboration.
- We are honoured to confirm Dr. Scott Morrison as our keynote speaker for this 2 day event.
